About her
Hi, I'm hoping to meet a nice unattached romantic gentleman, maybe a Christian, sharing some of my interests. Must be able to laugh at himself and be kind, especially to Honey Bunny!
I trained to teach, specialising in modern languages and dyslexia, but also worked in industry for many years, mainly in computer science, micro-telemetry and telephony. I retired 5 years ago from my post as a disability assessor at a local university.
My interests are gardening, folk singing, helping at a nature reserve, walking, piano, poetry, song writing, meals with friends, theatre, cinema, and I just adore bunny rabbits. I'm quite artistic and could be a very poor second to Picasso. I belong to a variety of local U3A groups which keeps me busy. I am also starting to write a series of children's picture books.
I love animals and support several animal charities. However, I also support the struggle against disease and poverty in the third world. I grew up having very little, so I'm not chasing big houses/cars or new technology, although it is good to have achieved a comfortable standard of living.
My second passion is languages and I am a published author here. Somehow they come easy. I love the logic of grammar - words fit into categories and so I know what I'm doing.
Finally, I love perfume, gardens, flowers, trees, rivers, mountains, especially in Spring and Autumn. I also love rain and wind (we got lots in Scotland). I always marvel at nature's endless variety.
