Hello :-) Thanks for looking in :-)
I'd like to find someone with a similar outlook on life that I can talk with about anything and still have a cheeky glint in our eyes.... I can sometimes be a bit serious.. I do prefer an intelligent conversation to inane chit-chat but equally doesn't everybody enjoy a bit of messing about and having a good laugh? My friends have said before that initially I came across as a quiet one, but that once they got to know me realised that it didn't mean that there wasn't lots going on inside, on many levels haha :-) .....
My taste in music is very eclectic, (back in the day I was an accomplished pianist, although not for many years now, sigh) and I am interested in the Arts in general; my dream job would be to design useful and functional things that are also aesthetically pleasing - I'm not bad at finding solutions, and I would have liked to have been a Scientist of some kind.
I like to read pretty much anything informative but I do enjoy fiction too; this ties in nicely with my interest in lexicology and etymology... not that I'm any kind of expert!
Having always been physically active I swim occasionally and try to take healthier options in my everyday life, not to be super fit, but to keep my curves in check and my body relatively healthy ;-)
My outlook on life could be described by Occam's Razor, but also by the phrase 'live and let live' - I'm open-minded and easygoing.. if a little nervous and laughing at myself right now :-)

I guess my primary ideal would be for you to be honest; kill me with the truth but don't comfort me with a lie.
Also, it's probably best if you have had any children you might want already because I definitely don't want any more.
Good grammar is refreshing and pleasant to read, although that's not to say that I don't make my own mistakes on occasion!
There is nothing specific that I 'require' in a man as such - surprise me.. people are interesting, just be who you really are 😊
