About him
I really just love life in all that it has to offer. I like travelling, keeping relatively fit (having been to almost 19,000 feet on Everest in late 2006 after a really serious cycling accident) and still cycle and swim. I try to eat sensibly (but what's wrong with a McDonalds occasionally with my grandchildren) and I am always interested in what is going on in the world. I guess Covid has slowed everything down and it may be that many of us are wary of meeting up at this time. I work part time in a garden nursery which helps greatly in not being locked down.
My outlook is simple. We are only here for a short time and we should try everything (well almost everything) at least once to help us become well rounded human beings and perhaps we'll also find something we are really good at.
In looking for someone to share life with, I like to think that I'm not really the age I am but perhaps many of us have the same feeling.

I hope my ideal match would learn to share some of my interests, as I would hers, and be interested in living life (almost) to the full. I'd like her to be funny and attractive but confident in herself and her body and relaxed in company. (Can discuss world issues with charm and knowledge but stand her ground in a discussion.) If she has her own life which she would be keen to retain, that is understandable. But a blending of both should be something to aspire to. I think when you have been on your own for some time, it can be difficult to adapt to another persons habits or traits, so tolerance from both myself and my 'ideal match' and perhaps short times apart, (particularly in the early stages), would be entirely reasonable.
