About him
I'm friendly, reliable and honest. I've led a busy professional life (as a doctor and scientist) but I'm now concentrating more on my hobbies and interests (e.g. tour guiding and volunteering in museums and singing in a choral society). I'm very sociable but not really a wild 'party animal'. I keep active with exercises, walking, jogging, and I love swimming in the sea when I can. I enjoy listening to classical and other music; Radio 3 & 4; learning (or at least practising) German; watching films and above all meeting up with my friends. Pub food at the end of a long walk has to be one of life's greatest pleasures! My ideal holiday would be a mixture of beautiful scenery, time to relax, and an element of activity, sport or exploration.
I’m lucky in having some great friends, but I would really love to have someone special to share my life with… evenings in, evenings out, weekends away, holidays, or just going for a walk in the park!

About his ideal match
Well, it's really not all about check-lists! Having said that, honesty, open communication and trust are essential. Availability (both emotional and geographical) is also vital. I'm looking for someone who is kind, easy-going, educated and fun to be with; someone who is physically active and comfortable in a range of social settings. A few deal-breakers: Dishonesty (that includes stating incorrect age or relationship status); smoking; and those who lead super-busy lives (ie who can't find proper time for a relationship).
