I am a happy person, enjoy doing lots of things like painting with water based oils, walking in the woods, cooking for a crowd, entertaining, playing scrabble, meeting new people, discovering new places in the British Isles or abroad.
I spend quite a few hours a week volunteering in a charity shop.
I have travelled and worked in Asia and the States and spent 6 years in Kenya and South Africa.
I love reading, music for me is the love language of the world and is always on if the TV is not.
I enjoy visiting National Trust places, going to the cinema and theatre, spending a day at the seaside walking on the beach and ending in a Pub for a nice meal, or spending a quiet evening at home watching a good programme with a glass of wine next to me.
All these things would be perfect if they were shared with someone who has a similar outlook on
life.

My ideal match would be outgoing and have a good sense of humour which is very important in a relationship, would enjoy walks in the countryside followed by a pub meal somewhere on the way, would enjoy a game of cards, a film, a meal somewhere, travelling to France, or further afield, or spending a quiet evening at home, with music, playing scrabble, or just enjoying each other company.
Good communication is very important, similar tastes preferable, but in any relationship, it is give and take in equal measures, and never trying to change the other.
