About him
My dear wife died in Feb 2016 after 50 years of happy marriage. I am a gentle loving man and get on well with all my neighbours in Higher Green, Ewell.
I have 2 sons and 3 grandchildren and consider myself very fortunate to have such a lovely family.
I started as an Electrical Engineer, then became a project engineer building paper mills and tissue mills and finally worked in a property investment company. I was responsible for new developments, maintenance and insurance.
Nowadays how do I spend my time? Meeting friends and relatives, taking neighbours out to lunch, visiting National Trust properties, Walking on Epsom Downs, Wisley, Painshill Park, Polesden Lacey, Nyman's Garden etc. I like to explore new places & visit relatives to 'keep in touch'. I enjoy belonging to U3A and regularly attend French & Italian study groups etc.
One son lives in Italy, the other lives in Raynes Park.
I am a sociable, caring, easygoing, cheerful and considerate man with very few problems and no enemies and would like to meet a lady, initially as a friend but in the hope that it will develop into a long-term relationship.
Whilst I can cook and look after myself and often entertain others I also enjoy a visit to a restaurant for lunch with friends most weeks. I also enjoy gardening and grow a few vegetables, including beans and rhubarb.
I enjoy listening to music and often sing. It is a great way to stay happy.
With regard to my age, please do not let it put you off! I am young at heart and can pass for mid 70's any day both physically and mentally (it never ceases to amaze me!)
