About her
I am extremely affectionate and caring and I wish to spend time with someone special . I always create a warm and loving home. I love travelling and trying new things and would prefer to share these moments with someone special . Opera and theatre are great loves of mine along with ballet and classical music . I love being outdoors in the mountains or at the beach . I spent most of my working life overseas and particularly in France . I love everything about France , as I am a French teacher , I love the language, literature, history, music , philosophy.....everything! Someone who shares the passion and enthusiasm for France would be great .
What I wish for most in a friend/ companion/ partner is a sense of humour . This is vital . I am also becoming more and more concerned about the state of the planet and our environment. It concerns me enormously and I hope that after the pandemic chas ended , as it will eventually , that we all as a society become more aware of environmental issues . We must leave a better world for our children and grandchildren , not one that has been exploited and neglected .

I am looking for someone who loves adventure , who welcomes new opportunities and challenges, plus also loves to travel. I adore music especially opera and ballet , I love fine wines especially after living in France and Italy and enjoy dining - either at home or out . An evening at the Opera or a quiet evening at home would be equally enjoyable . A love of the great outdoors, mountains or beaches are both great . I hiked in the Himalayas 4 times ...and have trekked in Europe. I recently bought an electric bike during lockdown , some of the hills were becoming too challenging.
A sense of humour is essential.
I love literature and am still trying to finish that novel ! One day !
I would love to meet someone with the same interests .
Not taking oneself too seriously is slso another great characteristic plus I value tolerance in others . I would like perhaps to meet someone who has an active interest in environmental matters and also educational issues . Having been a teacher for 40 years , I am also passionate about the changes that education can bring about in our society .
