About her
I've not been in Devon all that long so am still discovering all its beauty. I left city life for a strange, exciting solo adventure here, but living by the sea was always a dream so I like to take full advantage of it. I've been very lucky to have travelled all over the world - which has taught me patience and tolerance. (I once took the mail boat from Cape Town to St Helena and then waited a week for it to come back to get me; luckily, it did!) I love cooking but my worst meal would be smoked anything (especially mackerel or salmon). I've recently discovered a great Indian restaurant locally - a glass of chilled rosé and a spicy curry is just the thing, but I've wide tastes in food (have about 300 cookbooks). Six things I'd find it hard to live without: friends, laughter, good food and wine, travelling, books, films (okay, that's seven, but who's counting?) I like to get involved (was a volunteer at the London 2012 Paralympics and the 2015 Rugby World Cup), but apart from lots of walking, I'm not actively sporty. My family think I'm a bit quirky, which I suppose I am, but that's allowed! What else can I tell you? Well, let's see what you make of this so far...
