About her
Hi there, I'm Emily. Pleased to make your acquaintance.
I am an honest (some might say too honest) person, with a caring attitude and a big heart with lots of love to give. I love cups of tea, black and white movies, being in my PJ's, cheese and cooking.
Things I Like:
1) The Great Outdoors- I am a keen hiker and camper, and I love to wild camp. I am also a keen kayaker; I have been kayaking on and off since I was a teenager, and I'm in the market for a 2-man kayak.
2) Music- I appreciate most genres, but my top three are rock, metal and classical. I love live music, regardless of genre. I am going to Classic FM Live for the second year in a row in April 2018. I love music festivals' too, my annual favourite being Wilderness as it is very relaxing, there's always plenty to do, the food is very good, and so is the music.
3) Archaeology and History Related Things- I have worked as an archaeologist in the past, and it has gotten to the point now where I am very much wanting to get back into the industry. I have excavated all over the country, as well as being a part of a couple of projects on the Continent. I'm also a family historian genealogist in my spare time.
4) Acting Like A Big Kid- Making things with play-doh, playing board games, watching Disney films.
5) Appreciation of the Arts- I am a massive fan of the theatre. I enjoy museums (I could live in the British Museum), and art galleries, although I am more of a fan of the traditional artwork, rather than modern art, as I find some of it to be a bit too abstract for my taste. I will complete two of my minor life goals in 2018 by seeing The Nutcracker ballet and Mozart's Don Giovanni.
6) Being arty-crafty- I am in the process of building my niece a dolls house. I like to draw and I designed my own tattoo. Oh, and I have a thing for the colouring books of Johanna Basford.
On top of all of that, there's cuddles in bed, kissing in the rain, dancing around my room like no one is watching, sarcasm, gym, travelling and CAKE!!!
