About her
Friends would describe me as honest, enquiring, warm, funny and full of energy. I believe that life is about learning, so I am constantly doing new things, travelling to new places and trying new hobbies. I enjoy an active social life and am always there for my friends when they need me, but I also appreciate time to be quietly at home to read, reflect and just be, either alone or with a partner.
I have been separated (now divorced) for over six years from a marriage that lasted for 25 years. We made a good team but sadly we lost focus, and communication slipped by the wayside -- I am determined not to let that happen again.
I love walking, going to the theatre, reading (just about anything), cooking, entertaining and discussing love, life and philosophy long into the night. You might also find me on the ski slopes or in a boat, and my latest passion is for doing pottery. Travel is a huge part of my life, from weekend jaunts to Paris, to long range tours of Asia, Africa, South America, Europe, Australasia. For me, reading about other cultures is vital, but to really understand another country's way of life there is no substitute for first hand experience.
I feel blessed to be able to enjoy life to the full and would really like to share its many ups and even the occasional down with a caring partner.

Communication is so important -- my ideal partner will share himself with me as well as listen to who I am, and invest energy in making the relationship work. He will have the time to travel and explore the world, and to just chill together. It would be great if we share many of the same interests, but a bit of doing our own thing is no bad thing either.
