About her
Hello, pleased to meet you!
I am a youthful 55 (although I don't look it - no wrinkles) Amusingly, everyone thinks my elder son is my toyboy!
As a languages graduate, the world fills me with a sense of wonder. I am always looking for a new language to learn, or a new country to visit. I have recently come back from Cambodia, which is amazing.
My absolute passion is cruising, which I have loved since the age of 17. Luckily my elder son (23) is the same, and he works as a cruise travel agent. We are planning a cruise to South America beginning with a stay in Rio , and so I'm trying to get to grips with Portuguese at the moment.
My most unusual hobby is helping young people into Oxford University. I have managed this with both children and a couple of their friends. This means I visit Oxford about once a month to see how the other half lives!
My interests include quizzes, swimming, classical music and literature, history (museums and art galleries) all things Oxford, watching nostalgic films, costume dramas, Poirot, Columbo, Lewis and Endeavour,
My outlook on life is to live outwardly, i.e. to care about others rather than just thinking about myself. My job is in financial services, with a lot of contact with the public. I enjoy being friendly, helpful and reassuring over the phone. Often we have quite a laugh and I always get a lot of compliments from the customers.
My friends and colleagues often tell me they love me, because I show them, by my words and actions, that they mean the world to me. I have been described by them as amazing, glamorous, caring, funny and crazy, depending which friend you speak to. Also I am boringly reliable.
About her ideal match
I would like to find someone like Columbo (from the TV series). He is kind, intelligent, principled, likes people and feels comfortable in his own skin. He also loves and appreciates the lady in his life.
A deal breaker would be someone who resents the fact that I have a degree and speak several languages - believe me, this has happened quite often. Also, they will obviously not have to be anti Oxford, or believe any of the false stereotypes about the students.
I have a great and interesting life, but it would be perfect if I had someone to share and appreciate it with.

Paula is kind, caring, loyal, beautiful and unbelievably funny (the best kind of friend to have). She loves to travel and experience new things but has a special love of cruises so any potential partner must enjoy the high seas.
Paula has devoted much of her life to her two boys and now deserves some happiness of her own. Anyone lucky enough to date her will certainly not be disappointed :)
