I'd say I'm mildly outside the mainstream, but not so far afield as to attract the attention of the law or social workers. Despite a generally cynical world view and more than a passing familiarity with sarcasm, I actually do possess a wide, deep vulnerable/sensitive/sentimental stripe. I am deeply moved by many things, some of which might invite mockery. I want someone I can freely share this aspect of myself with along with the more acerbic, dry, sometimes too blunt side.
The woman in the photo is my ex-partner Christine. She has Alzheimers and has been in a care home since 2019. I loved her very much...but now she's gone.
