About him
I think I'm reasonably philosophical about most things and generally liberal-minded. I'm not un-conservative and not un-christian. I have a great love of the wide spread of classical music and opera, like folk music and I'm OK with jazz (bebop to modern).
I really like driving !! especially around the countryside, mountains to the sea. I read a lot - newspapers, online, novels, magazines - and enjoy being part of a Book Club. I miss out on the movies I'd like to see, ie without a partner and have so many unwatched DVDs !, but would like to share them with someone - and watch her DVDs too. I've long been into family history and genealogy.
I'm a "glass-half-full" sort of person. I also follow politics avidly despite being mostly disenchanted with politicians and parties.

I'd like someone to enjoy similar activities although it's good to have enough different interests. I wouldn't want someone whose political views are extreme - middle-of-the-road should allow mutual toleration. I keep up with politics and have firm views but am always able to modify these when presented with good counter arguments.
I'm not into dancing but would enjoy sharing theatre, opera, art gallery visits, movies with a partner.
