About her
Loyal and self-reflective, I rarely relish being the centre of attention; I do, however, have a quiet confidence and I enjoy meeting people, taking an interest in new experiences and learning new things. I am sensitive and I love being amongst nature, walking my two dogs by the river, cycling and have recently taken up yoga - not always without some wobbling! However, I am amazed by how many positive effects I have noticed so far. Although not expert, this is definitely part of who I am now. I love swimming and walking and used to walk regularly in the Lakes and Derbyshire - hence my profile name. I enjoy cooking and experiencing new foods - especially when travelling: Italy and France are favourites. Looking after family and friends is really important to me - I am very lucky to have several true friends who I enjoy seeing for walks and meals during more normal times. Reading and listening to music are both regular habits. I am quite selective about the TV I watch and I also enjoy film and theatre as well as some live music - especially at the smaller music venues near here. I love to garden and grow things. I wake up feeling positive most mornings and I am a very resilient character who will always keep trying and do the best I can whatever is thrown at me. I have learnt how important it is to make time for the things you enjoy and one of those is meeting people and getting to know them. I also want to continue to learn. I would love to learn how to dive or build up my stamina for longer cycle rides or a cycling holiday. I am as happy camping and going for a picnic as I am with more luxury: it is all about the experience. I see life as an exciting journey, full of new experiences waiting to be discovered; it is really important to me to have ambitions and dreams and to know that I still have many things which I want to achieve and enjoy.

Honesty and loyalty are really important to me. As well as this, a willingness to spend time doing interesting things together and having adventures - whether that be travelling, exploring or being together at home. This would be the perfect balance for the time spent apart.
I am less interested in how someone looks because I believe that if there is a genuine connection, with things in common, that is where the attraction comes from - being positive and having an open face and big smile are qualities I admire. If there are interesting things to get to know and understand, so much the better in widening my horizons!
Listening and communication is important - chatter about experiences of the day or thoughts on a theme - especially if somewhere in a cosy pub with a roaring fire, out on a long walk, or at home with a home cooked meal. I enjoy being committed to friends and in a relationship and would hope to find this in someone else.
A sense of fun and the ability to laugh together and find the humour when things go wrong makes a relationship fun to be in. Working at a relationship together with respect and friendship is the basis of future exciting possibilities.
