I'm a grounded sensible person, but probably regarded as somewhat alternative or unusual as well.
I like nights reading by the stove, cafe meet ups, eating out, classical concerts, gardening, art exhibitions, and listening to music, audio books and old radio plays on youtube. I enjoy witty repartee, browsing in book shops, walking with friends and visiting national trust properties (life member so it's all free).
Sadly this last year many of the above have been cancelled or greatly reduced. It's been a tough year for all of us. So hope you've all come through this difficult time in the best possible condition - mentally, physically and in every other way. I think we're all struggling a bit at this stage, just with the monotony of it all if nothing else.
I've spent much of the lockdowns in the garden. During the first lockdown I was expanding existing borders and creating new island beds. The second lockdown was spent planting a range of bulbs which was a difficult job with my heavy soil. A lesson in the advantages of suiting the planting to the conditions. In this lockdown I have largely been forced to take a break due to the weather. But now I'm back out there tidying up and doing more planting.
I also enjoy feeding the birds - I have a great variety in my garden - and finding whole walnuts the squirrels have hidden! A mast year so the amount of acorns on the lawn has actually made it difficult to walk over. I also have bunny rabbits, snakes (yes!), foxes, owls, cats, voles, toads, hedgehogs ...

I'm looking for an intelligent gentle man who likes talking and is entertaining. Probably someone a bit unusual. I don't care what you look like; I care what you *are* like. I'm looking for a good psychological and intellectual match.
I'm also looking for a man in good physical shape with plenty of stamina! This is essential!
Please - no smokers, and no-one who is still emerging from or in a relationship. Only people who are truly single. Also I am looking for someone in my own age range - older candidates should look at the lovely ladies nearer their own age. No reason to contact someone young enough to be your daughter - esp when I've put early 50s as the upper limit! If you are a little over 50 but a very good fit in other ways then that's fair enough.
