About her
I’m looking for someone to share some of the ordinary everyday things of life, as well as some adventure and excitement. I’m still working (part-time) in the health/education sector and I'm looking to develop my interests and volunteering to transition into retirement. So, here are a few of my favourite things: I enjoy spending time with friends; food often features – I enjoy eating in and out, accompanied by a glass of Rioja! The natural world is important to me: I like walking, spending time in nature and growing things – I have a few greenish fingers. These greenish fingers have led me to volunteer in a wonderful garden where I have honed my weeding skills! I really love travelling, exploring new places and meeting new people. I particularly enjoy snorkelling – when the rare opportunity arises! I’m interested in a variety of sports, watching rather than actively participating. Tennis is a particular favourite. I also love visiting galleries and taking advantage of the cultural pursuits available in London. I also practice mindfulness in a not particularly regular way. When I’m at home I enjoy good quality dramas on TV, listening to Radio 4, reading (mainly fiction and the Saturday Guardian). I’m caring and kind, thoughtful and reflective. Whilst I like to travel and explore new places, I’m also enjoy the comforts of home. I have recently acquired a cat - despite regularly causing havoc she has been a positive addition to my life!
About her ideal match
I’m looking for a man who’s emotionally honest and someone who enjoys shared conversation. I think doing things together is important and in a relationship it’s also healthy to have separate interests. It would be good to meet someone who enjoys the coast and countryside as well as the city. It would be great to share an enjoyment of travel as well as the day to day stuff. These are all important and on the wish-list but I guess the older I get the more I realise that for me the most important things in any relationship are kindness and humour. I've had the good fortune to count Carolyn as a close friend for the last 20 years and we've had a lot of fun times together. I think it's fair to say we've kept each other going in the good times as well as the bad.
She's great company, interested in others and what's going on in the world. She's funny, intelligent, wise, kind and compassionate. She really cares about her friends and is always there for them.
She loves going to new places and is a wonderful travelling companion - ready to try something new and different.
