Loyal and caring, but I have been told I am an acquired taste. I am an optimist and prefer a positive attitude to life. I like classical music and jazz, but not pop or rap! My idea of hell is going to a pop festival. I like a good wine or beer, but I don't do drugs. There are lots of ways of getting a high, such as flying in a small aeroplane! I enjoy playing social, rather than serious bridge. I collect various things which does cause a bit of a clutter. I am a genealogist (family historian) which leads to an interest in social history. I enjoy visits to historic places, and at home I tend to read and listen to music. Widowed four years ago, I would welcome an affectionate, sensual and compatible companion, who doesn't mind an occasional pleasant surprise.
