About her
I love the arts - cinema, theatre, opera, music of all kinds, galleries, beautiful buildings. Perhaps now I enjoy more the great outdoors - walking my dog in the fields ending at a pub for a drink. I love being active - canoeing on the river, country walks, skiing, or a leisurely cycle ride. But equally I enjoy passing time cooking or pottering around the garden where I've recently grown my own vegetables. I have three grown-up children, so I now have more time to rediscover myself.
I have worked in publishing, education, media in the UK and Europe and travelled to many countries over the years. I teach French and Spanish and am mastering Italian. I grew up in London and now live in Oxford - I still love the bright lights and all that the big metropolis has to offer but I so enjoy the peace and calm of the Oxfordshire countryside. I am well-educated and read a lot - mainly fiction - in several European languages. I am happy in my own company but would really love to find someone who I can spend time with can share this all with - having a laugh as well as serious conversation about all kinds of things. My friends say I have a lot of get up and go and am warm-hearted, kind and loyal. I want to make the most of life, always look on the bright side and think life and the world is there for the taking.

I would love to find someone who I could perhaps share adventures, outings and laughter with as well as quiet moments and simple pleasures. It may be that we have different interests too and I'm looking for someone I can share my thoughts and dreams with, who reflects on life but can see the funny side too.
