About her
Have been told I 'light up the room' which is one of the best compliments ever. Have spent most of my life working with the most marginalised young people and pride myself that I can engage with anyone from a young person on the street, to a government minister. I have a huge family and love spending time with them. Travelling has been curtailed this year but love cruising and exploring new places, last year took in the US, China, Japan, Singapore and Bali - anywhere that involves snorkelling which is my passion! Love anything arty, current interest is origami. Love cooking, a typical week will include at least 5 different cuisines. Very politically motivated, have stood as European and Westminster parliamentarian as well as serving as a local councillor. I am a positive person - think my epitaph will be 'never one to knowingly miss an opportunity'!

My idea of an ideal match would be someone who shared at least some of my interests but also was straightforward and kind. What would make our relationship work would be respect, empathy and honesty - as well as whatever it is that makes two people click! I think someone who loved travelling, trying new things, prepared to be spontaneous would be great to get to know. A deal breaker would be anyone who turned out to be controlling.
