About him
The advice on writing these introductions suggests putting what your friends would say about you. My friends would probably say something rude and slightly insulting. I suppose if I put a gun to their heads, they would say that I am loyal, funny and caring. They would then look uncomfortable, say I have issues and run away. I write for a living, but coming up with something good to write here is like trying to find a dog turd on the moon. Anyway, I love words and languages and have lived in several countries before coming back to Yorkshire a few years ago. When I am not working or silently correcting other people‘s grammar, I love cooking and dining out (rarely in the same evening, unless something goes wrong). I am also passionate about music and sing with a large choral society. I enjoy walking in the countryside, unless it’s raining. Not for me dressing up in a giant Goretex condom and braving the elements. I would rather be in the pub with a pint.

I generally get on best with people who are creative, well-read and share similar interests to me. Humour is very important to me, as is a love of music (if you can tolerate sitting in draughty town halls to watch choral concerts, even better). I enjoy the outdoors, but within reason. If you’re into triathlon or extreme sports, we are probably not going to get along. Likewise, if your life revolves around going to the gym. I love trying all types of new foods and flavours, so if you’re vegan, vegetarian or a fussy eater, we probably aren’t going to be a great match.
