About him
On first meeting I can be quiet but I quickly warm up as I become more familar with the people and surroundings. I enjoy the company of others but I also need time on my own to reflect and recharge my batteries. I am very curious about ideas and like to listen to others share their knowledge and insights. I prefer walking in nature than attending events with lots of noise
I enjoy watching most sports, especially football and cricket. I have an eclectic taste in music, ranging from classical to modern genres. I regularly listen to classic FM when I am driving. I find it very relaxing. My favourite pieces at the moment are Symphony No.5 Karajan (Mahler); Adagio for Strings (Barber) and Paino Concerto No.2 (Rackmaninov). I do not follow artists, rather specific songs and albums. My top 3 at the moment as "I want to break free" (Queen); "The first time ever I saw your face" (Roberta Flack); "Ashes to Ashes" (Bowie). I am comfortable with cats and dogs, although I am not a pet owner.
I have been through some life events in recent years , which have been painful, and am now emerging with a better understanding of myself and what makes me happy. Thank you for reading!

In my opinion the most important aspects of any relationships are mutual trust, emotionally intelligent, understanding, honesty, kindness, compromise, non judgement, acceptance of flaws and shared core values. I am a work in progress with these qualities and look for others with a similar outlook.
Beyond these qualities, physical appearance is a factor but I do not have a "specific type"; chemistry is essential and can be slow burning. I do not smoke or do drugs and only drink occasionally. I would prefer any partner to have English as their first language or be very proficient. The nuances of the language in description and using metaphors can be lost in translation.
