A decent, reliable, fully fit bloke who still has all his own hair and teeth - and who doesn't tell lies! I'm told I behave like a gentleman with old fashioned values.
Looking for a lady friend/companion (I don't mean one night stands, in case you were concerned). I'm quite independent and not desperate. I've lived happily on my own in stunning Cumbria for 7 years now, since my divorce. Although born and raised in London, I relocated north from Kent in 2018.
I've travelled to European, Middle Eastern, Far Eastern countries and the USA for either work or pleasure. But much happier to explore closer to home nowadays.
I'm an animal lover. There have been large dogs (and cats) in my life forever. Most days, I voluntarily walk local dogs and do 'dog-sits' for friends, whereby I live in friends' homes (if necessary) and look after their dogs (and cats) while they go on holiday. I walk the dogs in my care for miles. Cumbria is fine walking country, of course!
Sport-wise, when I was young, I did cycle road racing & rowed in a racing '8' at regattas for my company (like the Oxford/Cambridge boat race). These days, the dog walking helps to keeps me in shape.....along with a healthy diet!
My food mantra is 'no four legged animal has to die to feed me'. I still eat poultry & fish....so not a full veggie.
I enjoy my 'young classic' performance cars (which I display at car shows) - and my small campervan. I enjoy exploring this wonderful (new to me) county of Cumbria - and also Northumberland, Co. Durham and Scotland.
In addition to Carlisle's main events centre, I've visited Sunderland and Liverpool for violin concertos - and Edinburgh for a top snooker tournament.
I would initially be pleased to correspond with a lady who may eventually like my company. People tell me I defy my true age of 74 by at least 10 years, for which I'm grateful and flattered. Looking forward to hearing from you. Steve x
