About him
I like to talk to like minded people and put the world to rights, remember happy times and have a good laugh. I have a good sense of fun and maybe a little mischief. I rarely drink, never drunk - ever.
Fit and everything still works, (did I mention I don't act my age!), OK some joints might creak a little but nothing's fallen off (yet). I recently lost a tooth, rather traumatic (but still have my marbles) but not all my hair. Not perfect or ever have been but am honest and considerate.
I worked with computers for about 40 years - I was in at the very early years (today it's called IT). I started by designing them and carried on to do all the jobs associated with computing, building, installing, maintaining, repairing, etc.. It's been a whirlwind experience.
Very practical, I enjoy making useful items for the home - I just need to find the time!
I do think about getting older, my father died young, only just retired, so I have outlasted him. My mother carried to 81, about average for a woman.
I didn't get married until I was 43, I was always on the move and settling down seemed in the distant future.
I did make a decision aged 31 that was to alter the course of my life forever.
Jan 2022 - I managed to develop intercostal PHN, a painful condition that shows no sign of departing. Several treatments in the NHS but none giving long-term relief. This has curtailed my life considerably as I now don't get enough sleep so am lacking energy.
