About her
I am a kind and gentle person, comfortable in my own skin. Authenticity is very important to me. As are family and friends. I try to live in the present moment as much as possible, and to be grateful for the many good things in my life. Looking forward to meeting someone special to share them with.
Some of my favourite things: long walks, being by water, wild swimming, cycling in the countryside, cross country skiing, yoga.
Arthouse cinema, a good play, live music in a smallish venue, art galleries. I love travel, both cities and countryside - anywhere interesting and beautiful.
I also need downtime and value my home life. I enjoy cooking and baking, creative projects, pottering in the garden, reading by the fire, watching the odd bit of well chosen tv. I like having deep and meaningful conversations, but have a light hearted side as well, and don’t take myself too seriously. In fact I think a capacity for fun, laughter and good humoured banter is essential in a relationship. I am often described as calm, easygoing, creative, empathetic, resourceful.

There needs to be an emotional, mental and physical connection. Kindness and honesty are important to me. Being able to communicate well and to make each other laugh is also essential. So is an open mind and a sense of fun and adventure, plus shared interests and values. I would like a partner who is young at heart and who prioritises fitness and health (as that bodes well for an active and interesting retirement when that time comes).
