I am an active retiree, spending a lot of my time walking and in the gym with weight training. Have had a lifetime of contact sports which lapsed during last 15 years of my working life. I have many and varied interests and my tastes have been described as perhaps unusual and definitely eclectic. Music is a big part of my life and varies from Mahler to Metallica. Ancient history is a passion in particular Ancient Rome (recently spent several days on Hadrian’s wall and its amazing forts ), taken part in a couple of archaeological digs.
