About him
Caring, tall and active, looking for a fun lady to complete my life. I have a practical outlook on most aspects of life, usually looking for the easiest and cheapest way to solve a problem. I enjoy good banter and serious debate, or a mixture of the two - life's too short to be too serious! Self deprecating, can make fun of myself and others.
I am self employed in the great outdoors, I take work seriously whatever the weather, not one for a suit and tie, more like muddy wellies and muck splattered jeans.
I am kept in line by a German Shepard, am Into country activities, real ale, red wine, country pubs , good food, classic cars and other old machinery, all of which necessitates a dry sense of humour which can be sorely tested when broken down in the middle of nowhere in the pouring rain!
I have not travelled out of the UK much in recent years, yet to be convinced that the queueing and hassle of airports and flying is worth it, but maybe I haven't been with the right person? There is still lots of this country to explore, determined to do Scotland and Ireland in some depth before too long. I read a lot and cook when required, and usually have a project of some sort on the go.
I am quite content with life, I have little 'baggage' and have no major issues. I consider myself very fortunate to be where I am, but an understanding friend/partner would be most welcome to add to enjoyment. I am independent and don't necessarily follow the crowd, appreciate other peoples point of view and can compromise. I need my own space sometimes, I feel it is important that a couple have their separate interests as well as combined activities.

Firstly you must be down to earth with a sense of humour, tolerant and quick witted. Hopefully fairly tall and active, with an interest in the countryside and nature. I live in a fairly rural place, and would struggle to adapt to permanent city life.
