About her
I am looking for someone to enjoy London concerts, trips to the theatre, galleries etc. I enjoy being taken out for a meal. I am a Barbican member. I have previously enjoyed visiting the Festival Hall.
I would also like to share trips to various National Trust properties and other wildlife, wetlands and bird trust reserves.I am a member of the Essex Natural Trust and the RSPB. I am also a member of the RHS and a shared interest and appreciation of gardens and the beauty of plants is something I would like to share. I like being outside, but am not at all sporty, though I am always interested in other people and am happy for them to share their interests with
me and for me to learn in turn.
The ability to see beauty in music and our surroundings is important to me and I am a great believer in Keats words that ‘A thing of beauty is a joy forever …´
As a child my father encouraged me to find time to ‘Stand and stare’ and see the detail in my surroundings. This has stayed with me.
I am not an overly confident person. I do not enjoy parties and big social occasions.
I sadly lack a sense of direction and get lost even with a Sat Nav! I can find this frustrating and limiting.
I like to be with someone who has a quiet self confidence.
I do have a sense of humour.
Professionally I used to be a teacher of students with Specific Learning Difficulties. After retiring I have worked in various plant nurseries.I am currently working part time at a private nursery that exhibits at various RHS shows.
