Let us share our love of life, and introduce each other to our greatest pleasures.
I enjoy the outdoors - whether walking on a hilltop or in a historic city, and also the romance of sailing. I would love you to be a companion in these pursuits.
I plan some sailing adventures with my friends this summer on the west coast of Scotland starting from my base beside loch Goil. I would like to introduce you to my friends who tease me mercilessly, but with great good humour, whenever I try to take charge.
Singing part songs - either with a choir or at home - is a passion of mine. As well as singing in choirs I also hold occasional sing-for-your-supper evenings with my friends. The quality is variable, but when it comes off it can be magical. It is such a joy to do something which requires cooperation and sublimation of self to produce something of beauty.
I am not retired yet, and building an eco-friendly zero carbon hospitality business in Scotland is a continuing source of pleasure.
In quieter moments I enjoy metaphysical poetry and social history. I can also be found fulminating at the incompetence and veniality of the current government, and cooking the limited selection of dishes my friends are prepared to eat...
I have plenty of friends, but have not had a companion for some time. It would be a joy to find contentment with you.

I hope you will be musical. I have missed live music so much during the lockdowns. Let us support musicians and gorge ourselves on live performances this year. Ideally you will also enjoy making music as well.
Let us dress up for the opera (I have recently acquired a cloak!) and over supper afterwards argue passionately about the performance and the joy it has brought.
Let us also dress down for muddy walks with glorious views, then run down the hill to a pub with decent fire and steam in front of it with glowing faces.
I hope you will come sailing and put up with primitive conditions and indifferent food, for the spectacular seascapes, the pleasure of the feel of wind and spray on your face and the joy of feeling so alive.
When we can travel, let us go south to enjoy churches and cathedrals, palaces and piazzas, Mediterranean food and wine, and the heady smell of a Greek hillside in summer
If you have children that is a bonus. I enjoy the company of young people and the vigour they bring to the day.
