About him
I'm a sensitive, loving man with a love for classical music, singer-songwriters (especially Joni Mitchell), the arts, poetry, reading, theatre and sports. I'm not into fleeting bouts of romantic fancy - I would much prefer to stay in with a good book, have deep conversations and meaningful interactions.
I'm a retired teacher; I was head of the Upper School in a large Special school. I did my best and I loved it. Additionally, I spent five years working in the Construction Industry throughout Europe as a young man having lots of adventures, some of which were highly musing, and I would love to share these with view to completing a novel in future. I love to write, I write a lot of poetry and have had some poems published already. As an avid reader I love to sit in my study reading and exploring ideas.
I like to think I am very creative, I first qualified with a teaching degree in English and Art. I am very empathic, I gained a Master's in Counselling and Special Needs at a later stage in my career. Don't think I am too serious, though, as throughout my life, laughter has played and continues to play an enormous part. I also have a love for watercolour painting and have examples of my own paintings on my wall at home. In times past I have raced Jaguars (the car, not the animal!) and I love classic machinery in all forms - If you fancy a trip on the Orient Express I promise I will keep you safe!
