About her
Friends tell me I'm kind-hearted, compassionate, warm, always wearing a smile and good company. I love being outdoors, walking in nature and enjoying the simple things in life.
Living so close to Dartmoor and the SW Coastal Path, I enjoy walking and I get pleasure from the simple things in life...like listening to the birds sing every morning while watching the sunrise, or pausing to take in the sunsets, which can be joyous on my own but better shared with a like-minded, kind and compassionate soul. I love pottering in the garden, or simply curling up with a good book beside a roaring log fire, or listening to live music, theatre, cinema, meals out and taking the time to cook a nice meal together.
I have a beautiful Black Lab who keeps me active and is a great companion, but nothing comes close to being in the company of someone with whom you feel completely relaxed, at ease and enjoy just being together.
I work, part-time now, in the health professions, in a role that is a vocation and close to my heart, rather than just being a job or career. All of my work is remote working, so as long as I have my laptop and internet connection, I can work from anywhere. I even managed a of 'gap year for oldies' a few years ago, where I worked remotely as I travelled solo around New Zealand, Australia and SE Asia, including Burma and Laos. I consider myself to be fortunate to have had the opportunity to do this and it was truly life changing. I discovered the magic that happens when you keep an open heart and open mind and learned how kind complete strangers can be.
My outlook on life is that life is too short to put off 'till tomorrow, next year, or one day,' carpe diem!
My dislikes aren't many, but I do dislike witnessing disrespect and unkindness, and I have an aversion to rubbish TV! I don't invite drama or chaos in to my life, and, as yet, it hasn't found me!

I'm looking for someone with similar values, but not necessarily the same interests, but who appreciates the simply things in life and is not overly materialistic; my view is that 'things' can be replaced and while I value what I have, I don't seek the next shiny new thing. People are important to me and genuine uncomplicated close relationships.
Most importantly, I'm hoping to meet a man who is ready to start a new relationship, and views life with enthusiasm, rather than looks back with regrets.
