About her
I don't look or feel my age and am young at heart. Oddly, I seem to have more energy than I did ten years ago but maybe that's because I no longer have children at home and I am clearer about what I want for my life. I still work part-time and find connecting with and helping people very rewarding. I write, and as time passes, this is something I intend to develop.
I love the Devon countryside, walking and being in nature and am a National Trust member. I am happy in both casual clothes and dressing to go out somewhere special but I do like colour and am generally co-ordinated in a fairly casual way.
I like many things; a really good conversation, a glass of red wine, a delicious meal specially cooked with others or maybe at a good restaurant, spending time with family and friends, traveling to beautiful places especially France where my mother lives and Italy where a friend lives, a good hike or a good book, music, meditation, a picnic on the beach. I used to ski and loved it but haven't been for ages so imagine I'd be back on the nursery slopes to start with. I enjoy close and lasting friendships but am equally happy in my own company though feel it's time to share my life with a kindred spirit and it is so nice to banter about different ideas - I find that stimulating.
I dislike soaps on TV, swearing unless it's out of anger, (I so did not like the film Wicked Little Letters!), cruises or package holidays!
My outlook on life is positive despite what is going on in the world. A sense of humour is so important and to be able to laugh together. I believe we create our own destiny and I am still looking forward to some wonderful years ahead. I still have that vital spirit! Now feels like the right time to be with someone to share more adventures together. My photos are recent - two from this month and most people think I am much younger than my years. I am still pretty fit and flexible.
About her ideal match
To begin with, just connecting and getting to know one another and building a friendship but ultimately I am looking for that spark, a shared sense of humour so we laugh together, someone creative who has an interesting life. Someone who can listen, is intelligent, warm, open-hearted, happy in his own skin, individual and somewhat unconventional. You are bound to be fun but with depth in equal measure, enjoy being outdoors, travelling, cooking together, and maybe a glass of wine over dinner or a beer at a country pub after a walk.
