About her
Hi! I'm a lively, sociable woman with lots of friends and a family who I love very much.
I worked hard throughout my career in the not-for-profit sector where I had a senior position in a charity supporting foster care before I retired a few years ago. I have been exploring my creativity over the last 15 or so years and am enjoying my artistic journey very much. Currently doing a one-day a week course in Extended Drawing - which is about much more than using a pencil to draw a bowl of fruit! Absolutely loving learning new techniques and ways of looking. I listen to lots of all types of music, like walking, and enjoy going to the cinema and to galleries and exhibitions. I love dancing. I am by nature an optimist and a pragmatist. I like a laugh and a giggle and love a bit of banter. Equally, however, happy to discuss issues in depth and have a strong sense of right and wrong - particularly when it comes to social issues!
I was widowed in my early 50s and have spent the last years supporting my two daughters into their adult lives. This has not been without its challenges, but I have grown and changed with the experience and am an independent and self-sufficient woman. I'm now very happy to be looking outwards and embracing all that the next phase has to offer.
