About him
I am a pretty happy sort of guy, well-grounded, stable, and broadly occupying a wide- ranging area on the extrovert/introvert boundary !. I am a geologist and environmentalist by profession, used to work in oil & gas exploration and travelled widely, but now lecture part-time at a Midlands Uni.
I like walking, running, mountain biking, swimming, canoeing. I am a big fan of ParkRuns ! Keeping fit keeps me happy and well. Also very happy visiting exhibitions,museums, art galleries, good coffee shops, cosy pubs, cinema etc. I used to go to classical concerts years ago, haven't been for a long time, but happy to re-acquaint myself.
Despite all the outdoors stuff, I am well-read, articulate, interested in the arts. We are all people of many parts aren't we?

Intelligent and articulate, somebody who is comfortable with themselves, happy in their own skin, likes to think about things and discuss things, be they serious or frivolous. A sense of humour is important too, I think, it helps carry you through the difficult times......
I respect people who look after themselves, keep themselves fit and well. I guess my ideal match would value honesty and integrity highly too.
It would be great to find somebody that shares my love of life, who likes doing things, travelling to different places. But who equally likes returning to a home full of books and pictures and the reminders of a life fully-lived.
