About him
So…friends say I have a GSH and can be acerbically witty. I'm open, honest, articualte, empathetic and very reliable. I speak my mind, usually kindly, am good in a crisis, and equally good at fun. I’m looking for somebody to share the fun with in a longterm relationship. I like capable, successful confident women. More power to you. I don’t run 100 miles a week or spend hours in the gym ! I do like going for walks and I use an exercise bike! The walks with somebody are more fun. I love going to a play , a musical, a concert or for a meal maybe with nice wine but am as happy snuggled up on the sofa with somebody equally interested in the snuggle. Music, literature, words, the arts are very important in my life. Food for the soul. I’ve been a professional classical musician for 35 years. I now teach at a university in the music department. Thank God for young people. If they are the future it will be fine. Don’t get me started on the English government. Grr.
I've lived in Scotland for over 20 years - I’m English - although Scottish by birth - I was adopted. I appreciate Scottish directness and the more socially equitable society. NB : SEPARATED does and doesn't fit my situation. My wife lives full-time in a care home. She has advanced early onset Alzheimer's . I visit her and ensure she's safe and well cared for. So I am still married. Important to say that now. She's still part of my life but I also know - because we discussed it - that she wants me to be happy in a new relationship. I'm ready to explore that possibility . Head and heart are in the right place. A potential partner needs to be completely OK with that.

Physical attraction is extremely important as is a connection on an intellectual and emotional basis. They go together. I'm happy to travel a bit if you are not close by and would hope t to share that with you equally. I'm not a fan of Brexit, tend to lean towards the SNP and really dislike smoking.
