About him
I'm well travelled, a musician and poet and fun to be with. I'm unconventional and open to new experiences.
I spent the 3 months of the last English winter on my own touring New Zealand. It was a wonderful life-enhancing experience and food for the soul.
Waking up to the sun rising out of the Pacific Ocean over miles of deserted beaches littered with massive trees, or gazing at the night sky with no light pollution are things I will never forget.
The clean air, collosal snow capped mountains, fjords to rival those in Norway, emerald green rivers and lakes fed by glaciers, this is the stuff of life and can move you to tears.
Playing and singing to nature on my own in a beautiful setting is an almost spiritual experience.
I've just returned from a train holiday visiting Paris, Milan and Rome. A new experience for me especially being in Paris during the demonstrations!
But,
I missed having a special person with whom to share my experiences. An experience shared is an experience redoubled in it's enjoyment.
As you can tell, I'm active and outgoing and ready to take on new challenges (but not bungee jumping!)
You will see that I have longish now white hair. It is always tied back neatly in a pony tail and although I like to perform folk and country music I am not a typical 'wooly folkie'!!
I also sing in a choir and play in a folk orchestra.
I love attending live events such as festivals, theatre, cinema and concerts and regularly go to Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra performances.
My philosophy is that life is there to be lived not just endured until the inevitable happens.
I'm 76 but I'm fit, have all my wits and inside I'm much younger. Age is only a number after all.
Lastly, all my photos are recent and sorry about the hat but it's travelled all over the world with me and it's needed to prevent sun burn!!

My ideal match should love life and what it has to offer.
She should love music and it would be great if she played a musical instrument or could sing so that we could play together but appreciation of music is more important than being able to play or sing.
She should be outgoing and adventurous and willing to try new experiences.
A love of theatre, ballet, opera, concerts, poetry and literature would give us lots to do and talk about.
I enjoy walking in the countryside round where I live so if you also like walking then come and join me!
