About her
Music is my lifelong passion having been encouraged to sing in choirs and play piano - especially to accompany - from an early age. I also experienced playing viola in an orchestra while at school and university.
Currently my music-making centres on the recorder (preferably bass) with friends and at recorder festivals.
I take particular delight in leading u3a singing and recorder groups.
I love going to classical concerts
and also enjoy opera and ballet, (mostly on the big screen these days), G and S, and some musicals.
I’m quite a francophile, having lived in the South of France full time for 12 years and conducted choirs there (rehearsals in French).
I still occasionally read French novels to keep my French in working order.
I love to visit art galleries; I used to dabble a bit with a very good teacher I had in France.
I read a lot, being a member of 2 book groups, and am interested in current affairs.
I find myself drawn to watery places - rivers, streams, lakes and especially the sea.
I enjoyed a number of cruises with my late husband and would really like to continue to explore the world with a special someone. I need somebody to share experiences with.
I’m pretty outgoing and sociable and am a reasonably good cook - except that I hate cooking for one, so I take great pleasure in eating out.

My ideal match would share at least some of my interests, and if he liked cooking that would not be a problem.
Having days out, weekends away, taking holidays, visiting new people and places is a must. The time for having to be a stay-at-home will come soon enough.
