Not new to this but haven't been here for a while. Hoping for better luck this time round.
To be honest, I am not sure what I am looking for on here (is anyone?). I have reached a point in my life where I feel much more sorted - after having had an unsettled (and possibly an unsettling) career in the performing arts (I am a violinist by trade) - and am enjoying more free time and financial stability. I wonder whether it will be any easier meeting someone (suitable) now my circumstances are so much more conducive(?)
I am quite independent and value my own space - but still feel that I would like someone special to share things with.
I am very practically adept and enjoy learning new skills - I am quite happy to plumb in my own bathroom and fit my own kitchen - which I have - am really enjoying learning the necessary skills in Photoshop to edit images from my newfound interest of photography.
I have always had an interest in history and a connection with the past - doing and visiting rather than reading!
I love being outdoors, especially in nature away from the confines of my old life which I miss only occasionally.
P.s. James is my middle name - which I prefer - but most people know me as Martin.
