In the words of my late husband who knew me so well.
I am....."Gentle and kind, strong, honest and willing to speak out for others who need a voice...cares deeply for others and fights for justice. Protects her family and those she loves. "
These words mean a great deal to me because though I see myself in them, I would have found it difficult to say them myself.
I love to be active out of doors. My passion is my garden and I do spend quite a bit of my time working in it. But I also enjoy sharing it with people I care for
The place I live is wonderful for walking.
A really good walk with someone special is one of my favourite pass times. It's an opportunity to build shared memories.
I have spent most of my life in rural areas or small towns. I love a visit to the city for theatres and galleries etc etc . But I have realised recently that I'm not really in my natural environment there. I can't really appreciate noisy city pubs. However a country pub for lunch or supper with wine and conversation is right up my street.
I have a little rescue cat called Freddie. He is an anxious little soul. He takes time to get to know people, but if you are patient you will reap the benefit of his trust. Freddie is terrified of dogs. it would be great to convince him they are ok
I have a good sense of fun and I believe that shared laughter is a vital part of any relationship.
I love to draw, paint and make pots, but have to admit my desire to create beauty is slightly hampered by my limited skill 😅😆.
I love to travel both in the UK and abroad. I absolutely love France.
I like to sing especially with other people. Just don't bank on me knowing the words!!!
I was rather shocked to find out I have probably been partially deaf for most of my life. Never quite understood why other people knew the words to songs ...but hearing aids have now rescued me from that particular embarrassment 😳 🤣

Because I live out of town you will require a car and be a driver.
The person I'm looking for will, like me, care about humanity. And have a strong social conscience.
5 years ago I spent an albeit brief period of time in Calais getting at least a little grasp of what drives people to get onto small boats and risk their lives to travel to the UK.
Please don't think of me as boring because I care. I love fun times and laughter, wine, picnics and flowers.
My world is full of fun.
I really hope to meet someone who is capable of loving. Who has empathy and emotional intelligence.
Please please also be full of fun and enthusiastic about life.
Being able to join me on a good walk is fairly vital.

Well what daughter in law wouldn't want to share their thoughts on their mother in law, oh the joys, I could run riot ha ha ... I gest completely and I am so proud to share just how wonderful this woman is!
I've been part of Carol's family for more than 30 years now (gosh time flies) and from the beginning this wonderful woman welcomed me into her life, her family, her home and her world. She is the most loving, caring, kind person anyone could wish to meet, with the most fantastic sense of humour and really she's such a goofball, she makes us all laugh all the time but is incredible at being able to laugh at herself, a very unique skill people could learn from.
Carol has been a true inspiration for me growing up and throughout my career. She is strong, determined and knows truly how to inspire others, get the best from them but also out of herself. She gives herself wholeheartedly to a cause and always comes at it from the point of view, that she wants to make a difference and make the world a truly better place. Carol is creative, talented and completely humble, she has absolutely no idea just how amazing she is, anyone she chooses to get to know, will be incredibly lucky.

I have known Carolyn for almost 20 years. Our friendship began as a result of local Town Twinning arrangements between our villages and those in Northern France .We both retain the love of visiting France and her French conversation has come on in leaps and bounds!
She makes a great friend with her vivacious presentation and willingness to provide help and support. Her strong sense of community has been very much to the fore during recent years and she has championed several village developments such as support networks for those who are lonely or infirm and community gardening.
I don't share her passion in gardening - but I do appreciate the results, as I do with her art and pottery!
She is very much at home in the natural environment and walking is a big feature for Carolyn.
Carolyn's strong sense of justice is reflected in all of her activities as is an appreciation of theatre, the arts and classical music .
She would make a trusted, generous and passionate friend - and would always be honest about the relationship!
