About her
I would describe myself as outgoing, & fun loving with a good sense of humour. In the real world I’m 62, (not sure how that happened!) but inside my head I still feel like I’m 16 going on 17. I definitely don’t take myself too seriously! I have a wide circle of friends, across the breadth of the UK who I see regularly, some of which I have known since my school days.
In a previous life I studied at Art College and went on to teach Art & Photography in Higher Education, but gave up my career to raise my children, run the home and help build two family businesses. I’ve always been creative and in recent years have applied my talents to creating a beautiful home, and garden. I’m happy being at home and enjoy cooking, entertaining and gardening. I’ve recently set up an art studio at home and am keen to spend more time there rediscovering my creative side.
On the flip side I love to travel, and enjoy exploring the culture of new places particularly the architecture, art, food & wine. I’m not one for package holidays, big cruise ships, or lying on the beach as I prefer to travel independently and find amazing places to stay. For me planning a trip is part of the fun! After 2 visits to Spain this year, I have resolved to learn at least some basic Spanish.
I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music, and love going to see live bands. I’ve recently been introduced to the UK Blues scene and have been to a couple of Blues festivals. I also like live theatre, comedy & musicals.
I’m fairly active, and enjoy walking, cycling, & swimming as well as Yoga & Pilates. Sports wise I am a big tennis fan, and try to go to Wimbledon every year, although I am yet to find a replacement for my tennis idol Roger Federer.

My ideal partner would be someone who shares my enthusiasm for life, and at least some of my interests. Someone with a passion for travel and a willingness to embark on new adventures with me would be ideal. They would also have to be equally happy sharing the simple things like preparing a meal together, pottering in the garden, or going for a long walk in the country. Qualities I look for in a partner are honesty, loyalty, respect, and a sense of humour. Someone who is loving, caring & tactile & generous with their time.
