About her
I'm 55 and a PhD student (yes, still a student!) with a background in international development — I’ve lived and worked in places that stretched me, moved me and occasionally completely baffled me. I’m introverted, but not shy. I love deep conversation, shared silences and laughter that you can't stop. I’m autistic (on the quieter end of the spectrum), so ambiguity can be tough — but clarity, kindness, and curiosity go a long way with me.
Adventure is a big part of my life: I’m learning to paddleboard and kayak (awkwardly and joyfully), pushing myself to swim in the sea, and hiking whenever I can. I’m also trying to get fit again, so bonus points if you're someone who likes being active without taking it too seriously.
I am an orchestra fan, of course: top favourite is the cello.
I also love animals (especially cats and dogs — don't make me choose), theatre, cinema, and seeing the world in all its messy, beautiful chaos.
