About him
I've been on my own since my wife died from cancer in 2012. We had been married for 27years: indeed this year would have been our 40th wedding anniversary. I've had a few dabbles in on line dating over the years, which has resulted in absolutely nothing. Travel is one of my interests. and I have done this as a sole traveller. I am more than happy to this and indeed I enjoy doing what I want ,when I want ,also going where I want and drinking as much or as little as I choose.. I like going to Germany ,a country I know reasonably well,ranging from the popular,Munich to the unknown Rügen. My last trip was a luxurious Cunard cruise aboard the Queen Victoria. These solo trips enable me to read some novels,something I don't do often enough. It occupies time sitting on a bar stool.
I've befriended a few ladies on thes solo ventures but none developed into anything.
I live on the south London/Surrey border with my 33 year old younger son.
One of my main interests is sport. I played rugby for many years,then became a referee until a combination of dodgy knees and old age forced me to retire. I was brought up in West Wickham and always had an interest in Bromley football club and I've followed them since 1995.
I also love classical music and opera
I've been to Covent Garden many times and also to the major opera houses in Europe such as Vienna and Munich. I also enjoy drinking beer in moderation mostly in my local rural pub
Well that's me in a nutshell. Possibly not the most attractive of packages,but who knows,it might appeal to someone.

Ideally my match would be someone who would give me space to do my own thing.I would like her to dress appropriately for the situation we are in and would want her to expect the highest level of respect from me.
