I am a loyal friend - still in touch with my flatmates from university days long gone. I enjoy a variety of activities especially now I have more time in retirement. With perfectionist tendencies, I am often less happy with my achievements than the positive feedback I get from others.I like to keep busy whether singing, gardening, playing badminton and table tennis or volunteering with local charities. I am creative and resourceful with an independent streak.
I tend to be a listener more than a talker with people until I get to know them enough to feel comfortable. I value honesty, fairness and playing by the rules. Life can be complicated but having good friends helps see you through.

Honesty, integrity and a positive outlook are qualities I seek. An enquiring mind and an interest in others are also of value. Shared activities make memories and strengthen relationships although I also believe in individuals retaining some unshared interests. Singing in choirs is important in my life but need not be shared beyond a willingness to come to performances.
Theatre and cinema visits, music events, day trips etc. are more enjoyable in company as are sampling various cuisines and taking creative workshops. Trying new activities can be daunting without the moral support of a partner.
