I'm a well read and intelligent guy. I'd like to think I'm a nice guy, many would consider me to be sensible, dependable and thoughtful.
I like to read, this can be history (factual and fiction), fantasy (especially LitRPG), science fiction, crime or spy thrillers.
I enjoy cooking, particularly making interesting and semi original mixtures, I have tried all sorts, some memorable favourites are rabbit stew, turkey stuffed peppers, and lemon and ginger hake fillets! I used to have regular dinner parties, and would love to find someone who can help me restart these.
I will listen to any music, but prefer classical music or 80s bands, I like opera but have never been to see one, maybe you can take me?
I like films except the cheesier type of comedies, and most horror films. With one or two exceptions I will watch anything, so bring on that indie Spanish film about rock polishing! :)
I like board games with friends, or computer games if I'm alone.
I used to like going to the gym but lack a discipline to keep it up all the time, I'm hoping to start going again.
Other than this I am somewhat between hobbies at present, so if you have some fun hobbies (other than knitting) I am more than willing to try them out.
I don't have any set goals, other than a burning desire to make a difference somewhere. I find myself frustrated by many things and find it difficult to live by the addage of "accept the things you can't change, and change the things you can't accept".
I take my work seriously, I'm lucky to be in a role that is rewarding and surrounded by people who appreciate me.

I'm looking for a gal who I can talk to, cuddle up on the settee with, go for moonlit walks on the beach hand in hand, have candlelit dinners, someone who is is adventurous, yet patient and loving.And in general have someone there for me and someone to be there for.
It would be nice to find someone who has an interest in everything and anything, likes cooking and being cooked for (maybe we can give each other tips!), If the lucky gal likes dinner parties, reading and foreign travel all the better.
