About him
I have been single for some time though I was engaged many years ago. I am now looking for someone who shares similar interests, especially in music, who does not smoke. I did philosophy at Bedford College, University of London and then went to library college. I have worked in libraries and in records management but I was made redundant from my last job, so I am now semi retired though I make myself available for temp work. I am a keen amateur musician and composer, playing guitar and piano and I have published music which includes classical, pop and jazz as well as arrangements of other composers' pieces. I enjoy listening to all types of music, I all enjoy films and visiting exotic restaurants. I like travel and have travelled widely in the past. My other interests are philosophy, linguistics and classical literature. I like visiting exotic restaurants and trying different cuisines. I'm not much good as a cook but I collect kitchen gadgets. I enjoy watching films and am keen on old silent films. My favourite composers are Chausson, Takemitsu, Mahler and Massenet. I also like popular music from the 1920s to the present, especially 1960s music. I am also into Japanese pop, especially YUI and Erina Mano. Although I don't drink myself I quite like country pubs and wouldn't mind if I found a partner who drinks in moderation.
