As everyone says this is the difficult part.
I would say I am easy going with much to offer interests are many from sailing, ( I have a classic sailing boat on Windermere, that's 15 minutes from my house ), cycling, biking, walking, to skiing in the winter, My taste in music is mostly classical but enjoy a wide range but not jazz.
Its not totally vital I find someone with exactly the same interests or lives within a few miles, although distance is always a big challenge, it takes time to build a friendship that is more important to me.
Recently retired mainly because of ill health which is improving .

I don't have any rules about who I am looking for, to have a sense of adventure and humour is more important than having the same interests. Not taking yourself too seriously and being able to laugh at ones self is a great quality.
