About her
I'm a single woman living in the Scottish Borders and working in Edinburgh.I have 3 kids, my eldest 2 have now left home, & my youngest will be flying the nest soon too.
I studied Psychology degree with the OU with a view to finding a career involving children and education. I have since followed this by completing a a full-time Mental Health nursing degree and am working with Children & Adolescents in this field.
I play flute & piano & have taught both for many years, I am now having a ball playing the cello too.
I'm looking for someone who'll share my interests in playing classical music, gardening, learning, living, eating good food in good company (especially if I haven't got to cook it) & having a nice glass of wine at the end of a hard week.
I enjoy spending as much time as possible involved with playing instrumental music, in orchestras, quartets, flute choirs, wind groups, or choirs. And in my spare time I read, spend time with friends, teach piano/flute to a few local children and having survived my teenagers, I am looking forward to my future!
My music taste is VERY varied....including most (but not all) classical, plus something from everything thats out there from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, earlier and later! Including: Dire Straights, Genesis, Eva Cassidy, Beatles, John Wright, Elton John, Joan Armatrading, plus loads of stuff my kids listen to whose names I either don't know, can't remember, or haven't been told!
My book taste again differs immensley, fantasy, historical fiction, romantic stories - though my reading list has been on the thin side whilst studying!!
My film preferences are too many to mention but include English Patient, most kids/disney/pixar films, comedies, Pretty Woman, too much sci-fi, romcoms unless too violent/noisey.
My good points are - being there for my friends, enjoying playing classical music, & doing too much! I'm told I'm bubbly, I certainly enjoy drinking a few bubbles in good company!
