I am a happy bear, i.e. every day is a good one and am happy to be alive.

I have been widowed some years. I miss personal female company, if only to chase me around the house, (can't run either), but especially the daily chats, meals, hugs, cuddles, more. Something a woman's presence and especially her touch that cannot be replaced.

Realistic, I am an engineer, so the half glass situation means your glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
Some think my humour is a bit OTT, I do try to temper it to the situation.
I believe in courtesy and good manners, some call it old fashioned. I always make time for people, the world can wait.
Good company, living, music (various), food, and wine with meals is essential, would like a partner to share.
I am fully housetrained - checked out on household appliances and can cook (no one poisoned yet). Pretty good around the house, gardening is something else, trying to learn. Good at cutting grass.
I have wandered the world most of my life, work and pleasure, and now looking at slowing down - not stopping, it would be good to have a travelmate.
Current plan - sorting my house, many projects, and of course finding a companion.
I am very attached to the beard. It doesn't just hide me, it comes in very handy for some extra TLC on your soft spots. Have recommendations to this effect.
I try to help water conservation, so taking a shower with a girlfriend, helps, besides being fun.

I am looking for an independent lady who feels good in her skin,. Most essential she has a broad sense of humour, can take a joke and laugh at herself and me.
Honesty is paramount for me, there can be no relationship of any kind without mutual trust.
You can be a 'Plain Jane' as long as we can communicate. Long legs, a shapely figure and a pretty face a bonus but NOT essential. Happiness, laughter and honesty IS.
Once read a profile mentioning 'under the duvet wrestling'. Well that is not the be-all-and-end-all of a relationship, but in my time, I haven't found anything to better it, except for 'on top of the sheets wrestling', (must go out more).
If you like good food, a glass or two of wine, concerts, opera, ballet, relaxing, walking hand in hand. Telling about your day, especially the bad ones, to someone who will listen - call me, I have ears and broad shoulders. No promises of solutions, but I will try.
Basically, if you are an honest, happy person we can meet, talk, share a drink or meal, see what develops, etc. Tell me your relaxing rendezvous and I will find you. I like to sit at street cafes and watch the world go by and put it to rights, need company for this. I frequent a little street cafe in Sandbach, how about you?
