About her
I have been widowed for 5 years and I miss male company and attention. I am affectionate, tactile, supportive and loyal.
I don't have a university degree, but should have taken one and still intend to do so. I am intelligent and cultured but with a sense of humour and fun. I think it is a sin to waste a day of my life. Life is a gift that should be savoured to the full.
I am told that I look younger than my age and I certainly feel that I have a lot of life left in me. I still have many unfulfilled ambitions. I should like to get a degree, as I said, write a book or two (I am told I am very good at writing), paint a few pictures and travel even more than I have done already. I love to visit other countries and cultures.
I am a solo singer and love all sorts of music, but especially classical, musicals and 60s pop (my youth!). I have been a stage performer for many years, taking the lead in many musicals and operettas. I am very interested in history and love visiting historical and archaelogical sites and museums.
I also enjoy gardening, genealogical research and cryptic crosswords. I have been heavily involved in service organisations (Rotary and Inner Wheel) for many years and am secretary of a charity which gives aid to the third world.
My family is very important to me and I spend a lot of time with my grandchildren.
I am sociable, enjoy dancing and conversation and intellectual discussion. I have a wide circle of friends, who are also important to me.
I take care of myself, eat healthily, try to keep slim and exercise as much as I can. I enjoy walking and rambling, and am equally happy in a pair of walking boots and casual clothes or dressed up to the nines for a special occasion. I like going to the cinema and to the theatre. I enjoy reading but never seem to have time to do so.
I can manage without a man in my life, but it's not the same, is it?

Ideally I should like someone with an attractive face and figure but attraction is unpredictable and this may turn out not to be important. He should have a nice smile and be kind and caring but not possessive. In fact it would be good if he were as independent as me. It is important that he shares a number of my interests or we shall have no compatible activities I should like him to have views and opinions but respect mine, even if they are different from his. He should enjoy a social life and meeting people. I am not a sport fan but am used to tolerating it! He should be intelligent and cultured but have a sense of humour and fun. He should be at least reasonably physically fit, so that we can walk and travel easily. He should be tactile and have a sense of romance. I like to be admired and to be made to feel special but I still like a man to be a man!
