About her
I called myself Vitabella after the beautiful Roberto Benigni film ... and then I was in Sainsbury's and saw a pizza called Vitabella. It's really complicated/impossible to change your user name, so I wondered if it mattered that I called myself after a pizza? I suppose it depends what your opinion on pizza is ... junk food for kids ... or a simple romantic meal with Valpolicella. I'm tying myself in knots here.
Anyway, I'm a straightforward sort of person. I've never asked my friends how they'd describe me and they've never volunteered that information, but they are still my friends so I must have a few likeable qualities. I'm healthy, sociable, very comfortable with my situation but lacking a bit of romance. I keep retiring and then being lured back to work, though I'm now at last warming to the idea of joblessness. I like to walk in the Derbyshire Dales and find a pub lunch at the end helps me manage an extra mile or two. I love pottering in my garden but it is currently a work in progress. Camellias are my passion.
I listen to Classic FM every day, I go to orchestral concerts, ballet, opera, but have no expertise or training as a musician and am not particularly knowledgeable either. My other preferred genre is rock and I go to see local bands in pubs or at festivals; however I haven't been in a mosh pit yet.
I love cooking for friends; you will have to endure that a lot if we hit it off. I have a reasonable stock in my wine rack, though wine is something else that I enjoy but know little about.
I am not the sort of person who wants to spend my retirement canoeing up the Amazon or bungee jumping. I don't see myself going back to uni for a PhD. I'd like to pack in some serious travelling but at a leisurely pace, without extravagance, just absorbing the flavour. I dream of meandering around France and Italy for weeks on end without any particular plan or direction ... with an equally laid-back partner!

I don't have an ideal match. In fact I like to think I'll meet someone who has qualities I'd never anticipated. I'm here just to meet somebody I hit it off with. I'll know him when I meet him. I'm not ruling anybody out really. If you love Rachmaninov and all things French, that is a bonus.
Oh, and if you like pizza, I'm your girl ... obviously!
