About him
I've had a very full and mostly happy life and I'm hoping that will continue. My long term relationship ended after 24 years and over the last 8 years I've basically remained single.
I am honest, caring and faithful. I drink ( alcohol) very little but can occasionally be tempted with a Brandy, especially after a pleasant meal with good company. With dealing and meeting the general public over the last 40 years I'm very sociably adept and my friends see me as a solid, reliable person in everything I do. I'm lucky in the fact I only need to work part time these days and that gives me more time to spend on interests/hobbies etc.......and you of course.
My friends coerced me into forming a facebook Social Group where we can arrange weekends away, days out at Festivals, days spent on a narrowboat and enjoy many things in like minded company-its ok I'm not looking for new members, what started off as 8-9 friends has grown to 20 plus like minded people. I'm also a national Trust/English Heritage member and quite regularly go and visit these type of places.
I hate arguments and any sort of things that upset the balance in my life and tend to move away from people who need or want this in their daily life. Oh yes, I must point out I'm one of the few people in this life that refuses to be a 'slave' to a mobile phone, when meeting people I do not get the phone out and look out for any messages- I switch mine off before I arrive....lol
I'm hoping to meet someone genuine and honest who would like to share a life full of variety and yet have the closeness that a relationship brings. Would love to meet someone to share some of my interests and introduce me to some of hers.
No problem driving some distance to meet you, it takes me 40 minutes to get to work some days...lol

You'd be reasonably intelligent, sociable and confident , with a mind that is still curious and forever hopeful. Someone who is fun to be with and can make me laugh at myself and the World. Ideally she'll share some of my interests but it would be good to share new ones.
